Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026  ·  Effective: June 16, 2026

The short version: we collect nothing.

Mementome stores all data locally on your device. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no way to see your tasks. Your information never leaves your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Mementome ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Mementome mobile application (the "App") available on the Apple App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains our practices clearly so you understand exactly what happens — and does not happen — with your data when you use the App.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

The App does not require an account, login, or any form of registration. All data you create within the App — including task titles, priorities, dates, and reminder settings — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's on-device storage frameworks (SwiftData and UserDefaults).

We do not collect:

  • Your name, email address, or any account credentials
  • The content of your tasks or reminders
  • Usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry data
  • Location data
  • Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
  • Any information from your contacts, photos, or other apps

3. Local Notifications

The App uses Apple's local notification system to deliver reminders you schedule. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and are never routed through our servers. The App does not use push notifications or any remote notification infrastructure.

You may grant or revoke notification permission at any time in your device's Settings app. Denying notification permission will prevent reminder alerts from appearing, but the App will continue to function normally otherwise.

4. Calendar Access

If you use the "Add to Calendar" feature, the App will open the system calendar editor (provided by Apple's EventKit framework) so you can save a task as a calendar event. This interaction happens entirely within Apple's native calendar system.

On iOS 17 and later, adding a new calendar event does not require explicit permission from the user. The App does not read, modify, or access any existing calendar data.

5. Apple Watch & Widgets

The App includes an Apple Watch companion and WidgetKit widgets. Task data is shared between these surfaces using Apple's on-device frameworks — specifically WatchConnectivity (Watch) and App Groups via shared UserDefaults (widgets). No data is transmitted externally at any point in this process.

6. Task Sharing

The "Send to Someone" feature allows you to share a task with another person using your device's standard share sheet. You control what you share and with whom. The shared content (a text message and/or an .ics calendar attachment) is sent using your own messaging apps — we do not transmit or store this content on any server.

7. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics frameworks, advertising networks, or crash-reporting services. There are no external libraries that could transmit your data to third parties.

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store, which is governed by Apple's own privacy practices and terms of service. Apple may collect certain aggregated, anonymized data as part of operating the App Store platform. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times. To delete all App data, simply delete the App from your device. This permanently removes all tasks, settings, and preferences.

There is no account to deactivate and no server-side data to request deletion of — because none exists.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is rated 4+ on the Apple App Store. It does not collect any personal information from users of any age, including children under 13. Because we collect no data whatsoever, the App complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international regulations.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Because the App collects no personal data, changes to this policy will never affect how your data is handled — there is no data to handle differently.
